• Support and administer enterprise Identity and Access Management ( IAM ) Systems.
• Act as secondary support and backup to the IAM SME to ensure service continuity.
• Assist in maintaining IAM infrastructure, integrations, and authentication services.
Identity Lifecycle Management
• Manage user identity lifecycle processes including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access modifications.
• Support role-based access control (RBAC) and access governance frameworks.
• Ensure proper access reviews and certification processes.
Access & Authentication Management
• Support Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and federated identity services.
• Manage integrations with enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and internal systems.
• Ensure secure authentication and authorization processes.
Directory Services Administration
• Administer and support Active Directory / Azure AD / LDAP environments.
• Manage identity synchronization and directory integrations.
• Support group management, policies, and identity attributes.
Security & Compliance
• Ensure IAM processes comply with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Assist in audit support related to access control and identity governance.
• Participate in security reviews and risk assessments related to access management.
Troubleshooting & Incident Support
• Investigate and resolve access-related incidents and authentication issues.
• Work with Service Desk and infrastructure teams to resolve IAM incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Automation & Improvement
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell or similar) for IAM operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve IAM processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Document IAM processes, workflows, and system configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
• 5–8+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management or Security Engineering
• Experience supporting enterprise IAM platforms and directory services
• Experience working in global enterprise environments
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
Identity Technologies
• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Federation (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
Directory Services
• Active Directory
• Azure AD / Entra ID
• LDAP
Other Skills
• Access Governance
• Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
• PowerShell scripting
• ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira
Preferred Qualifications
• IAM certifications or security certifications such as:
o Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM)
o CISSP (preferred)
o Microsoft Identity certifications
• Experience with cloud identity management (Azure AD / AWS IAM).
• Experience supporting Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with security, infrastructure, and application teams
• Good documentation and process improvement skills
• Ability to act as a backup SME and support knowledge transfer
