Description

You will analyze and optimize SSD and storage system hardware architectures for performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Review schematics, PCB layouts, and Bill of Materials to assess component selection, supply chain risks, and design trade-offs.
• Evaluate power supply designs, voltage regulation modules, and power sequencing for efficiency, stability, and thermal performance.
• Conduct signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and EMI/EMC evaluations using simulation and lab measurements.
• Perform mechanical and thermal assessments of enclosures, heatsinks, and airflow paths against performance targets.
• Support lab-based testing, teardown analysis, and root cause investigations on hardware behaviors.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware design or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of high-speed circuit design principles and power delivery systems.
• Proficiency with schematic and PCB analysis tools (Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or Altium Designer).
• Experience using SI/PI simulation tools and lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, VNAs, thermal cameras).
• Knowledge of SSD architectures, NAND flash interfaces, and associated power/thermal constraints.
• Experience with Power delivery network, DC-DC converter design, and Buck/Boost regulators.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC compliance and design trade-off analysis.
• Knowledge of PMIC, LDO regulators, and thermal cycling & stress testing.
