Description

You will own the deployment, maintenance, and configuration of custom applications across Windows and Linux/Unix environments. You will automate operational tasks through scripting and refine infrastructure for optimal performance and availability.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and configure custom applications in collaboration with developers and business areas.
• Develop scripts and technical solutions to automate processes, improving business operations and reducing manual overhead.
• Monitor and fine-tune application infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• Develop and refine restore and recovery procedures for errors impacting application operations, supporting contingency planning initiatives.
• Administer and enforce IT standards, providing 7x24 rotational support and escalating issues per policy.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or middleware administration.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix (preferably RedHat) and Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience with middleware platforms such as WebSphere, JBoss, or Tomcat.
• Knowledge of LDAP concepts, Active Directory user/group design, or IDaaS providers like OKTA.
• Familiarity with database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with application programming languages and web technologies.
