Description

You will manage and scale commodity servers, operating systems, and networks within a datacenter environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive infrastructure efficiency through automation and self-repairing monitoring solutions.
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis to resolve failure patterns via simplification.
• Design repeatable processes and workflows to enhance operational support at scale.
• Develop metrics to track and demonstrate improvements in operational efficiency.
• Implement security best practices in server configuration, tool development, and access controls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience deploying and operating Linux or UNIX variants in datacenters.
• Proficiency in automation using Python, Perl, or shell scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex system and network issues.
• Working knowledge of internet protocols including Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, and HTTP.
• Experience building SQL queries and managing large-scale disk sub-systems.
• Experience managing servers in large-scale, geographically diverse environments.
• Operational knowledge of enterprise switching and routing platforms.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as git, mercurial, or svn.
• Understanding of AWS technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C++ or Java for system-level tooling.
