Description

You manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. You handle the full lifecycle from design and implementation to day-to-day operations and capacity planning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer multi-vendor storage environments (SAN, NAS, cloud object storage) and ensure high availability.
• Design and enforce data protection, disaster recovery, and ransomware security policies.
• Monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions.
• Develop Ansible automation scripts to streamline routine operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex storage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Storage Engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise with enterprise data protection solutions such as NetBackup or Commvault.
• Deep knowledge of storage virtualization technologies from at least two major vendors (IBM, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Ansible and Bash.
• Strong understanding of storage protocols including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
• Experience with AWS cloud storage services.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience working in DevOps or Agile environments.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer, Dell EMC Certified Professional).
• Knowledge of multi-site replication strategies.
