Description

You will lead technical support and maintenance for mission-critical COBOL-based applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within COBOL mainframe applications.
• Provide L1/L2 support to technical teams and business users.
• Execute software maintenance including patches, upgrades, and configurations.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve alerts.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to maintain system stability.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL (Mainframe).
• Proficiency in Unix scripting (Bash, KSH, etc.).
• Experience with DB2 LUW on Linux, Unix, or Windows environments.
• Proven background in application maintenance, support, and debugging.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for high-stakes environments.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases.
• Must be local to Milwaukee, WI, or willing to relocate immediately.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the industrial or aftermarket service parts domain.
