Description

You will manage and maintain IBM System Z operating systems, including z/OS, and supporting hardware and software environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain z/OS system software and cumulative Program Temporary Fix packages.
• Execute SMP/E work to support required products and utilities.
• Manage operating system upgrades by establishing test plans, scheduling implementation, and coordinating testing.
• Perform mainframe monitoring, hardware/software installations, and system customizations.
• Provide on-call support to diagnose z/OS system issues during off-hours.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems programming or mainframe administration.
• Hands-on experience with IBM System Z operating systems and z/OS.
• Proficiency with SMP/E for product support.
• Experience with CLIST/ISPF.
• Ability to support legacy Windows Server environments.
• Experience managing software upgrades and hardware/software installations.
• Familiarity with IBM SCRT reporting and ISV software implementation.
