Description

You will provide production support and develop automation to improve system reliability and supportability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation and tooling to reduce toil and improve monitoring efficiency.
• Provide production support services for in-scope systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues by tracking trends and producing metrics and analysis.
• Perform on-call responsibilities and work flexible shifts.
• Collaborate with global teams and customers through clear verbal and written communication.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency with Linux environments.
• Strong experience in database scripting, including stored procedures and compound SQL.
• Data analysis and performance tuning experience in Sybase, DB2, or Greenplum.
• Working experience with Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
• Ability to work from the New York office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with advanced monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or Elastic Search.
• Knowledge of development tools including Git and Jenkins.
• Understanding of Cloud technology and Agile/DevOps/SRE methodologies.
