Description

Design business, data, systems, and infrastructure models for COTS and non-COTS applications across mid-range client-server and mainframe environments, engineering integrated hardware and software solutions optimized for mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectures that align with CMS technical reference models and industry standards.
• Execute architecture strategies, feasibility studies, and integration analyses.
• Contribute to the development of technical specifications, prototypes, and initial user guides.
• Supervise and provide guidance on mid-range architectures and large-scale applications.
• Ensure architectures meet user needs and cost parameters while integrating with existing platforms.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience performing architecture-related work on at least two IT systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with Angular and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of Microservices and Camunda for process orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi for ETL processes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch.
• Familiarity with AWS, Containers, Kubernetes, and Nginx.
• Ability to use Cognos and Business Object for reporting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading and directing the work of other IT professionals.
• Knowledge of CMS IT Architecture and Standards.
