Description

You will manage and optimize the Tableau Server environment to ensure high availability and performance for business users.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the Tableau Server software layer, including site creation, upgrades, and patching.
• Monitor server activity and usage statistics to perform performance tuning, clustering, and load balancing.
• Manage the migration of objects, workbooks, and dashboards from development to production environments.
• Partner with technical architects and engineers to ensure database and warehouse designs support reporting requirements.
• Develop and document standards and best practices for Tableau platform administration and development.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a BI role producing analytical reports, dashboards, and predictive analytics.
• Advanced expertise in Tableau software including Desktop Pro, Server, and Interactor.
• Deep understanding of Tableau architecture, sizing, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau scripting using TABCMD and TABADMIN.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables.
• Proficiency in ETL processes and Data Warehousing.
• Ability to manage groups, workbooks, projects, database views, and data connections.
• Experience providing training and support to business users on Tableau Desktop and web reports.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing Tableau KPI scorecards and dashboards.
• Knowledge of data source identification and migration to Tableau Server.
