Description

You will lead the migration of Tableau Server environments to Tableau Cloud, owning the strategy, execution, and optimization of the new infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute migration strategies, including infrastructure assessment, dependency mapping, and resource allocation.
• Configure cloud infrastructure for scalability, high availability, and security, managing network, storage, and compute resources.
• Execute data migration for repositories, workbooks, and data sources, followed by thorough testing and validation.
• Monitor and optimize cloud-hosted Tableau performance through capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Provide post-migration support and training to end-users on the new cloud environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience administering Tableau Server.
• Proven track record of migrating enterprise applications to the cloud.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell for automation and integration.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, including encryption and identity and access management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
