Description

 Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize interactive Tableau dashboards and data visualizations to support key business initiatives.
• Write and maintain efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and preparation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into impactful BI solutions.
• Maintain data integrity and consistency across dashboards and reports.
• Contribute to report scheduling, automation, and governance best practices.
• Assist in evaluating and supporting SSRS reporting needs.
• Review and troubleshoot legacy ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS
• Participate in end-user training and documentation.

 P&C (Property & Casualty) Insurance experience

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like SSIS.
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including schema design, normalization, and denormalization.
• Exposure to data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and security/compliance standards such as SOX, SOC 2, or equivalent.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with Information Technology/Mathematical emphasis or equivalent work experience is preferred. 
• 3+ years of report development and analytical experience, with 2+ years of Tableau/SSRS/SSIS experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with Insurance knowledge is preferred.
• Deep experience developing BI dashboards, along with SSRS reporting, within a complex IT/enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in SQL for data modeling, transformation, and querying across relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
• Understanding of ETL processes and data preparation techniques.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with transformation or migrating legacy systems to modernized stacks and environments preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred
