Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Tableau Server environments to ensure performance, security, and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Tableau Server environments, including version upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Configure server settings for optimal performance, scalability, and high availability.
• Manage user access, roles, permissions, and authentication policies.
• Perform regular backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor server performance, analyze logs, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Automate tasks such as data extracts, report distribution, and server monitoring.
• Support the integration of Tableau Server with databases and data warehouses.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Tableau Server administration or a similar role.
• Expertise in Tableau Server setup, deployment, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL.
• Proficiency with scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Tableau architecture, data sources, and server infrastructure.
• Experience configuring Tableau Server for high availability and failover.
• Familiarity with server and data security protocols.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Tableau Server certification (Associate or Professional).
• Experience with Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep.
• Knowledge of cloud-based deployments on AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with networking and firewall configuration.
