Description

Lead the migration of enterprise-level reporting and analytics from Tableau dashboards to the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing Tableau dashboards, data sources, and underlying logic to map the current reporting architecture.
• Translate Tableau visualizations, calculations, and data connections into Databricks SQL, notebooks, and Delta Lake formats.
• Rebuild KPIs and data models using PySpark and SQL, ensuring seamless transition of ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance within the Databricks Lakehouse environment.
• Validate data consistency between Tableau and Databricks dashboards through functional, regression, and performance testing.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of total experience, including 5+ years with Tableau development and dashboarding.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and SQL Notebooks.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python (PySpark), and data modeling for large-scale datasets.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience migrating BI tools or reports to cloud-based platforms.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and DevOps practices in data environments.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Power BI, Looker, or Apache Superset.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Databricks Workflows.
