Description

Provide Level 3 support for Juniper MX, PTX, and ACX router products in Tokyo.

Responsibilities

• Own highly demanding customer escalations end-to-end until resolution.
• Engage with Engineering teams to resolve product challenges and reported escalations.
• Manage new product and feature readiness for market launches.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize actions and set expectations.
• Drive knowledge creation, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring activities.

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Layers, and IPv4.
• Expertise in IPv6 and IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
• Hands-on experience with MPLS, VPLS, L2/L3 VPN, and Multicast (NG-MPVPN, PIM).
• Proficiency in Layer 2 technologies: Ethernet, 802.1q/p VLAN, BFD, STP, RSTP, ARP, and LACP.
• Understanding of High Availability (Clustering), VRRP, QoS, Policing, and Traffic control.
• Ability to perform traffic analysis using Wireshark, Ethereal, or similar tools.
• Scripting skills in Python or Perl.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English.
• Strong logical troubleshooting skills in complex environments.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and supporting large IP networks, preferably in Service Provider environments.
• Experience using traffic generators (Ixia, Agilent) and protocol analyzers.
• JNCI-P SP, JNCI-E SP, or equivalent certifications.
