Description

You will act as an individual contributor focusing on requirement gathering, analysis, and code testing within a Tandem environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze client requirements to define technical specifications.
• Write COBOL code from scratch to meet system requirements.
• Debug existing code to identify and resolve bugs or logic issues.
• Develop and execute TACL scripts for system tasks.
• Participate in Agile sprints and development cycles.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience working with Tandem Nonstop systems.
• Proficiency in writing COBOL/SCOBOL code.
• Expertise in TACL language and script writing.
• Hands-on experience with Enscribe file handling.
• Working knowledge of SQLMP/MX database management.
• Proficiency with Tandem utilities including FUP, Viewpt, and Spoolcom.
• Experience with Client Procedure calls.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and sprint workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience within the BFS domain.
• Additional exposure to SQLMX.
