Description

You will own the development and maintenance of Tandem-based enterprise applications, working within a US-based project structure.

Responsibilities

• Write efficient, maintainable code for Tandem applications using COBOL, SCOBOL, and NSQL.
• Resolve technical requests, bug fixes, and inquiries for large enterprise customers.
• Develop and support financial transactions, including ACH processing.
• Participate in Agile-based development cycles with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure effective communication and timely delivery.

Required Skills

• 4 to 8 years of working experience in Tandem application programming.
• Expertise in COBOL, SCOBOL, NSQL (SQL/MP, SQL/MX), Enscribe, and Pathway.
• Proficiency with debugging and system tools: EINSPECT/DEBUG, FUP, SCUP, TACL, TMF, BATCHCOM, SPOOLCOM.
• Intermediate knowledge of OSS and TAL.
• Experience with core Java programming and Web Services.
• Working knowledge of at least one OS: Windows Server, Linux, or Unix.
• Working knowledge of at least one additional language: Java, JavaScript, C, VB, C#, or C++.
• Ability to work shifts from 2 PM to 11 PM IST.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud environments (S3, AWS) or data platforms (Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
