Description

You will manage multiple tax engagements and lead a team to meet client deliverables in Woodbury, NY.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor staff accountants while evaluating progress on multiple engagements.
• Review complex multi-state corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and individual income tax returns.
• Prepare high-complexity tax returns including 1040s, 1041s, 1120s, and 1065s.
• Manage tax planning strategies, year-end projections, and quarterly estimates.
• Resolve tax notices and examinations with government agencies.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5+ years of public accounting experience leading multiple engagements.
• Strong technical taxation skills and expertise in Tax Accounting.
• Experience with Accounting Consulting and Accounting Management.
• Working knowledge of CCCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in handling Estate and Trusts and high-net-worth financial planning.
• Ability to perform technical tax research.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred or required with a diversified tax background.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
• Experience in Accounting for Small Businesses.
