Description

You will provide technical support for a large nationwide network within the Network Operations Control Center.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network alarm conditions to proactively minimize disruption to the FAA network.
• Perform root cause analysis to determine action plans for restoring customer services.
• Troubleshoot channelized and unchanneled T1 and T3 circuits using DACs equipment.
• Assist Local Exchange Carriers (LEC), ILECs, and IXCs in resolving WAN problems.
• Support field technicians remotely to resolve local network issues.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of telecommunications network troubleshooting experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Layer 1 troubleshooting.
• Experience with networking technologies including SONET and TDM.
• Knowledge of RF, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and HSRP.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, Ethernet, IP, Frame Relay, ATM, and SONET.
• Proficiency with Network Management tools such as Cisco Prime, SNMPc, Orion, and Netflow.
• Experience using UNIX and Remote Access solutions.
• Background working in telecommunication call centers with geographically dispersed teams.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of Cisco network equipment.
• Experience with physical layer and routed technologies.
