Description

You will support the Education Department within a juvenile correctional facility by supervising students and maintaining the learning environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the classroom and implement daily or weekly teacher lesson plans to meet course objectives when the educator is absent.
• Follow established policies during critical incidents to prevent injury, escape, or property damage.
• Evaluate individual student knowledge achievement and provide written reports to multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance the student learning environment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and develop accurate reports in compliance with departmental procedures.

Required Skills

• High School diploma.
• Ability to implement teacher lesson plans to enforce course objectives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain a positive learning environment conducive to student growth.
• Experience working with pediatric populations.
• Capacity to operate all job-related equipment.
