Description

You will lead trade finance operations, ensuring transaction accuracy and regulatory compliance within a French-speaking environment.

Responsibilities

• Check and authorize trade finance transactions based on assigned thresholds.
• Manage team performance to meet Service Level Agreements and strict operational cut-off times.
• Monitor control mechanisms, verify daily reports, and prepare periodic returns.
• Identify process improvements and update departmental policies or procedures.
• Train junior team members on technical product knowledge and operational workflows.
• Escalate irregularities or incidents that present financial or operational risk.

Required Skills

• 6-8 years of operational experience in Trade Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership or supervisory profile.
• Proficiency in French.
• In-depth knowledge of Standby Letters of Credit, Collections, and Guarantees/SBLC.
• Deep understanding of ICC regulations including UCP 600, ISBP, URC, URR, and ISP.
• Expertise in SWIFT message rules, accounting methodology, and associated trade risks.
• Working knowledge of statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Availability to work night shifts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UCP and ISBP frameworks.
