Role description – Tech Lead
Client is replatforming multiple large-scale enterprise systems simultaneously, creating transformational change and organizational impact beyond any prior initiative in the company’s history.
The Tech Lead will drive efficiency and progress while treating ambiguity and unclear requirements as opportunities to deepen business and technical understanding.
The Tech Lead owns the team’s architectural decisions and serves as both executor and technical visionary. This role prioritizes simplicity, challenges constraints when needed, and partners with the team to build modular, scalable solutions that can adapt to future needs. The Tech Lead also drives engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment while remaining hands-on and coaching the team through complex problems.
The Tech Lead will guide a team of 4–8 developers in the customer service space, delivering changes and enhancements to existing systems while aligning them with active enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Owns the product’s technical architecture and design with the team, ensuring solutions are simple, reusable, scalable, and roadmap-aligned
• Guides technology strategy, coding practices, continuous integration, automated deployment, and engineering standards that improve quality
• Mentors and coaches developers through code reviews, hands-on problem solving, and removal of technical impediments
• Partners with the Product Owner on roadmap alignment, story creation, acceptance criteria, and communication of technical tradeoffs
• Challenges the status quo by identifying better ways to solve technical problems and deliver effective solutions
• Owns and maintains documentation that supports system understanding, delivery execution, operational readiness, and support handoff
• Facilitates working sessions with business teams, technical teams, and subject matter experts to validate understanding, close documentation gaps, and confirm accuracy
• Captures decisions, open questions, risks, process changes, and follow-up items to support alignment and accountability across the Agile Release Train
• Keeps documentation current through onboarding, transition, release, incident follow-up, decommissioning, and operational support activities

Key Skills

• Recognized technical expert across relevant domains, products, and journeys
• Seasoned developer or technical lead with strong experience in C#/.NET, Java, Angular, REST APIs, and modern cloud-based development.
• Sound architecture decision-making at the team and product level
• Experience designing and building front-end and back-end solutions across multiple architecture patterns
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with production cloud and DevOps environments

Agile/Digital Experience

• Experience with SAFe Agile delivery; Solution Architect or similar experience preferred
• Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in ambiguous, evolving environments
• Effective partnership with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Design Lead, and technical team
