Description

You will lead an offshore team providing Tier 1 support for data processing within a Microsoft Azure EDL environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage data processing for API, streaming, and batch workflows in Microsoft Azure.
• Monitor and respond to failures in cloud data engineering processes.
• Track incident and problem management to identify trends and enable proactive issue avoidance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the offshore support team to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with North America and India service delivery teams and report status to account leadership.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data warehouse star schema design, ETL development, and SQL.
• 8-10 years in Cloud Data Engineering support roles, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
• 3-5 years as a team leader or technical mentor, including experience managing offshore teams.
• Proficiency with Python, Scala, and Azure Functions.
• Experience with Azure SQL DB and Azure App Insights.
• Hands-on experience with streaming and batch support using Azure technologies.
• Experience with Incident and Problem Management, preferably using ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of APIs and SQL DBMS.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, Databricks, or Event Hub.
• Knowledge of Data Product Hygiene, Security, and Audit Compliance.
• Experience with Big Data solutions and DevOps.
