Description

Lead offshore engineers in monitoring, resolving, and preventing failures within a large Microsoft Azure Enterprise Data Lake environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor offshore technical support teams on issue resolution, escalation procedures, and performance timeframes.
• Liaise with customer EDL service delivery and domain teams to coordinate data processing and loading support efforts.
• Monitor, report, and track incident and problem management to identify trends and proactively prevent future issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and report status and escalations to account leadership.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data warehouse star schema design, ETL development, and SQL.
• 8–10 years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering support roles, preferably within Microsoft Azure.
• 3–5 years of experience as a team leader or technical mentor, specifically working with offshore teams.
• 3–5 years of experience with Incident and Problem Management, preferably using ServiceNow.
• Technical knowledge of APIs, Azure Functions, Scala, Python, Azure SQL DB, and Azure App Insights.
• Experience supporting streaming processes using Event Hub, Databricks Cluster, and Cosmos DB.
• Experience supporting batch processes using Databricks, Python, Microsoft Data Factory, and IWS Job Scheduling.
• Proficiency with automated batch job tools such as IBM IWS or Control-M.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or related field.
• Experience with Synapse Analytics, Delta Lake, DevOps, and NoSQL DBMS.
• Knowledge of Data Product Hygiene and security/audit compliance within Azure environments.
