Description

Lead data engineering efforts within cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technical solutions and frequent software releases.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering initiatives using Lean Agile and Extreme Programming practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on data acquisition, ideation, and implementation.
• Translate global business requirements into technical solutions alongside business leads.
• Follow a paired development model to deliver user stories through agile practices.
• Share support responsibilities for all implemented components and release software frequently.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, MapReduce, HDFS, Oozie, Scala, and Python.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server.
• Proficiency with data loading tools including Flume, Sqoop, and Spark.
• Experience working in Lean Agile and Extreme Programming (XP) environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BI tools such as Data Stage, Informatica, QlikView, or Tableau.
• Experience with paired programming and agile/lean methodologies.
