You will lead technical design, hands-on development, and engineering standards for a cross-functional team.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical design for team initiatives, translating product direction into clear, executable technical approaches.
• Stay deeply hands-on by contributing to design, implementation, and code reviews while leading engineering best practices.
• Guide day-to-day technical decision-making, helping engineers resolve complex problems and balance quality with maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through practical coaching and feedback, fostering continuous improvement and technical growth.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Product partners to align on technical direction, sequencing, and dependencies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a Technical Lead role.
• Strong backend development skills using Java, Spring Boot, and legacy Java-based environments.
• Proficiency in cloud-native development with AWS technologies (ECS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, API Gateway) and Docker.
• Experience with frontend technologies including Angular or React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting (Bash/Linux, PowerShell).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Git and GitHub-based workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools to improve code quality and delivery flow.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL, Redis) and authentication protocols (Auth0, OIDC).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NodeJS and Splunk for observability.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Honeycomb, or AWS Glue/Athena.
• Knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
