Description

Lead technical direction and development for embedded systems running on Windows CE.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++ and Visual Studio for Windows CE.
• Integrate and troubleshoot dial-up modem connectivity, including AT commands and network protocols.
• Manage peripheral integration for RS232, USB, and Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR) data acquisition.
• Design and administer SQL Server databases, including schema design and SQL script creation.
• Oversee networking communications involving UDP, TCP, TLS, and TCP/IP protocols.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of Windows CE operating system architecture and APIs.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and embedded development tools.
• Hands-on experience with TCP, UDP, TLS, and TCP/IP networking.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including querying, data manipulation, and schema design.
• Experience troubleshooting dial-up and Ethernet communications.
• Knowledge of ODBC connections and relational database integration.
• Ability to manage hardware peripherals via RS232 and USB.

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling encrypted data from credit card MSR sources.
• Knowledge of touch screen UI development for embedded devices.
