Description

You will drive mechanical design and surfacing for consumer products across multiple verticals.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex CAD surfacing to create functional and aesthetic product forms.
• Perform design optimization using CFD, FEA, and light propagation simulations.
• Manage material selection and detailing for plastics, sheet metal, aluminium castings, and paint systems.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to guide design boundaries from concept to end-to-end project completion.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to ensure structural integrity and manufacturing feasibility.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, CATIA, or Rhino.
• Experience working within an R&D team or an innovation centre on end-to-end projects.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes for plastics, sheet metal, and aluminium castings.
• Knowledge of lighting concepts and their impact on product aesthetics and functionality.
• Solid grasp of mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience in the consumer product industry.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ANSYS or similar tools for CFD, FEA, and light propagation simulations.
