Description

You will architect and lead data engineering initiatives on Azure, focusing on Databricks and cloud-native data solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data warehousing and lakehouse architectures using Azure Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and reasonable timelines.
• Ensure adherence to security, governance, and code quality standards across all data pipelines.
• Mentor data engineers and drive best practices in CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and manage customer communications.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in data analytics and data warehousing projects.
• Deep expertise in Azure Databricks notebook development, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
• Strong proficiency with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes and data ingestion pipelines.
• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern cloud-native development practices.
• Ability to build and optimize query layers using Databricks SQL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric for analytics and integration tasks.
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboarding and reporting.
• Experience with Spark Streaming for processing real-time data streams.
