Technical Architect – Data Engineering (GCP, Scala, Spark)

Technical Architect – Data Engineering to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Scala, and Python, with a strong background in architecting large-scale data solutions, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating directly with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 
• Lead the development of robust batch and real-time data pipelines using Scala, Python, and Spark. 
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for processing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets. 
• Develop data ingestion frameworks from multiple data sources, including APIs, databases, streaming platforms, and cloud storage. 

Required Skills

• 14+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering. 
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 
• Excellent programming experience in Scala and Python. 
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala Spark). 
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks.  

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect Certification. 
• Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies. 
• Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC). 
• Experience in Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial Services is a plus. 
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. 

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
