Description

You will own the technical design and implementation of core platform services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and platform features primarily using Ruby on Rails.
• Define and implement scalable, maintainable system architectures in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Manage relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), designing models and optimizing complex queries.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for reliable message queuing and system scaling.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience building event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Solid understanding of API design patterns (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Ability to write clean, efficient code following established design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Familiarity with caching strategies, including Redis.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical troubleshooting.
