Description

Own the end-to-end system architecture for web apps, backend services, AI workflows, and external integrations. You will build the automation foundation, drive security and compliance, and lead engineering delivery from design to production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services, database schemas, and background workers for job queues and workflow orchestration.
• Architect AI-driven workflows including resume tailoring, JD parsing, and automated email responders with human approval gates.
• Implement security and privacy controls using OWASP best practices, RBAC, secrets management, encryption, and audit trails.
• Set up engineering operations including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability with SLOs and runbooks.
• Mentor developers, review technical designs and pull requests, and drive delivery across product and engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, or Python (FastAPI), or Node.js.
• Strong API design experience including OpenAPI, versioning, pagination, and idempotency.
• Database expertise with PostgreSQL (schema design, performance tuning) and Redis (caching, distributed locks).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes or serverless platforms.
• Observability setup using Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools with metrics and tracing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vector search, RAG, or semantic search for JD-to-resume matching.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration platforms like Temporal or AWS Step Functions.
