Description

Define and maintain the technical architecture vision, roadmap, and governance for large-scale retail systems, integrating AI/GenAI capabilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture across business, application, data, and security domains, ensuring alignment with retail business strategy.
• Lead technology platform evaluations, build-vs-buy decisions, and legacy modernization initiatives with minimal business disruption.
• Establish integration patterns (APIs, event-driven, messaging) for eCommerce, POS, supply chain, and third-party platforms.
• Define the organization’s AI/GenAI strategy, including reference architectures for LLMs, RAG pipelines, and responsible AI guardrails.
• Mentor solution architects and tech leads while ensuring scalability, security, and operational resilience during peak retail events.

Required Skills

• 15+ years in software/IT with 6–8 years in an architecture role.
• Proven experience designing architectures for large-scale, distributed, multi-system environments, ideally within Retail.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration platforms.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or similar).
• Strong understanding of data architecture, security architecture, and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
• Experience driving legacy modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including model serving, data pipelines, and AI-driven application patterns.

Preferred Skills

• TOGAF or relevant cloud architect certification (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Hands-on exposure to GenAI/LLM-based solutions (e.g., copilots, chatbots, RAG-based search) deployed in production.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and AI governance/data governance frameworks.
