Design and implement scalable REST-based microservices architectures on Azure, owning the full lifecycle from security models to deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performing microservices handling millions of requests with robust security models.
• Develop and deploy Azure Functions, App Services, and event-driven systems.
• Define deployment models and integrate services across various channels.
• Communicate architectural designs and technical decisions to executive leadership.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with progression to Architect level.
• 6+ years as a Software Architect focusing on APIs and integration layers.
• 5+ years building REST-based APIs using .NET Web API.
• 3+ years of experience with .NET 3.1 and .NET 6.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building applications on the Azure platform.
• Deep experience with Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos, Azure Redis, and Azure Event Hub.
• Proficiency with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure API Gateway, and Azure APIM.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including building pipelines and releases.
• Hands-on experience with ARM templates and deploying microservices in Azure environments.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of building highly available applications using Azure Fabrics or AKS.
• Practical knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and unit testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit, Moq, AutoFac, NSubstitute).
