Description

Lead technical design and architectural strategy for complex Snowflake data projects and pre-sales engagements. Own technical solutions from design through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create high-level design and architecture diagrams, including class, sequence, and deployment infrastructure.
• Gather end-user requirements and produce detailed technical documentation.
• Propose architectural solutions and new technology trends to sales teams and clients.
• Review and validate technological choices for ongoing projects to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Troubleshoot complex problems across infrastructure, platform, and application domains.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years as a Snowflake Data Architect.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Warehouse, ETL, and BI projects.
• Expertise in Snowflake data modeling, ELT using Snowflake SQL, and complex stored procedures.
• Advanced Snowflake knowledge: resource monitoring, RBAC, virtual warehouse sizing, query tuning, zero-copy clone, and time travel.
• Experience deploying Snowflake features such as data sharing, events, and lake-house patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Snow SQL, Snow Pipe, and Big Data modeling with Python.
• Proven track record of data migration from RDBMS to Snowflake cloud data warehouses.
• Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL data stores, plus star and snowflake dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse Architect certification.
• Architect-level certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
