Description

You will lead the migration of an on-premise Hadoop data platform to AWS-EMR, ensuring technical alignment and data integrity throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business requirements for migrating ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Analyze data sources, flows, and transformations using source-target mapping documents.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and design teams to ensure technical alignment.
• Maintain data quality integrity and security during the migration lifecycle.
• Develop, execute, and validate test plans to confirm successful migration outcomes.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of total professional experience, with 4-6 years specifically as a Technical Business Analyst.
• Proven experience migrating data pipelines using Spark, Scala, Sqoop, or Ab Initio.
• Deep technical expertise in Hadoop and AWS Data Services.
• Hands-on experience with S3, Glue, Lake Formation, and Redshift.
• Strong SQL writing skills for data analysis and validation.
• Direct experience in Banking domains (Retail, Cards, Corporate Banking, or Home Loans).
• Working knowledge of Data Governance, Security, and Compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Spark, Ab Initio, Scala, or Sqoop scripting.
