Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, pain points, and requirements.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform detailed data analysis using SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
• Analyze existing applications and workflows to understand current-state business processes and system behavior.
• Review existing Java and Python code to understand application logic, business rules, data transformations, integrations, and process flows.
• Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, data analysis, code understanding, impact analysis, and knowledge discovery.
• Work with development and QA teams to clarify requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform gap and impact analysis for new features and changes to existing systems.
• Support testing by defining business scenarios, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes.
• Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams and communicate complex technical concepts in clear business language.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and simplification.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis / Technical Business Analysis.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, requirement analysis, user stories, functional specifications, and process mapping.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills, with the ability to independently analyze and validate complex datasets.
• Good understanding of relational databases, data models, APIs, system integrations, and application architecture.
• Ability to read and understand Java and Python code to identify business logic and understand existing processes. Hands-on development experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Practical experience using GenAI tools for activities such as requirements analysis, documentation, code understanding, data analysis, summarization, and productivity improvement.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across business, development, QA, data, and architecture teams.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Exposure to financial services or banking domain would be an advantage.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Postman, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of AI-assisted software development and business analysis practices.
• Exposure to data visualization/reporting tools would be an added advantage
