Description

Bridge the gap between Risk and Compliance teams and technical development units to design and support surveillance models.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, including Agile user stories and supporting documentation.
• Develop proof-of-concept models and conduct gap analysis across data sets.
• Work with development teams to ensure implementation aligns with business specifications.
• Conduct Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
• Create and maintain project plans while escalating risks and delays.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in global organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in financial services, specifically regarding trade lifecycles and asset classes including Equity, Fixed Income, Options, and Futures.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with compliance surveillance platforms like Actimize or the Nasdaq SMARTS platform.
• Knowledge of surveillance models such as wash trading, spoofing, insider trading, and marking the open/close.
• Familiarity with trade, position, and reference data types.
