Description

You will bridge the gap between legacy mainframe systems and modern distributed architectures during large-scale application modernization.

Responsibilities

• Identify business capabilities, integration points, data requirements, and processing types such as batch vs online.
• Collaborate with legacy and modern application teams to recommend n-tier distributed architecture solutions.
• Define project scope by assessing which capabilities are prioritized for initial modernization phases.
• Create block diagrams to identify architectural components and detailed flow diagrams for granular requirements.
• Document comprehensive requirements and technical specifications for distributed systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven track record in 2+ application modernization projects lasting at least one year each.
• Deep understanding of multi-tier and distributed architecture.
• Experience integrating design patterns such as CQRS, Adapter, and Observer into distributed systems.
• Familiarity with microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and GitHub for requirement and task management.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, MQ, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to map complex processes from high-level block diagrams to detailed technical flows.
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills for collaborating with department leads.
