Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Technical IT Project Manager to join our Division of Systems, Data & Performance. You will be the central technical lead responsible for coordinating partner agencies, managing system architecture updates, overseeing data warehouse migrations, and ensuring seamless integration with district-wide transparency portals.
Project Leadership: Own the planning and execution of technical workstreams, including integrated project schedules, RAID tracking, and weekly status reporting.
Technical Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between PMO leadership, partner agencies, and external technical teams to align cloud architecture, data integration, and security requirements.
Strategic Planning: Translate complex technical strategies into actionable project plans, covering resource alignment, go-live preparation, and post-implementation support.
Documentation & Governance: Maintain high-quality project artifacts, ensuring all deliverables comply with District standards for data governance, security, and architectural review.
Agile Management: Facilitate sprint planning, roadmap development, and cross-team issue resolution to keep the program on track.
Experience: 20+ years of IT experience; 16+ years of specialized experience in large-scale IT modernization and technical project management.
Methodologies: 10+ years of experience with Agile Scrum project management.
Technical Knowledge: 8+ years in data warehousing (Databricks preferred) and enterprise reporting; 6+ years in cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
Testing: 5+ years of experience facilitating SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Certifications: Active PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical information for executive stakeholders.
