Description

Lead a team of five engineers in managing and upgrading the organization's Ansible infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the upgrade of the entire Ansible infrastructure, including modifying thousands of playbooks across 168 user groups.
  • Monitor playbook modification automation and provide consultative support to resolve validation issues.
  • Oversee the RackN bare metal as a service initiative for OS installs on bare metal hosts.
  • Mentor a team with varied skill levels to improve technical proficiency.
  • Communicate technical progress and project status to clients and leadership using Agile methodologies.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation or related roles.
  • Expertise in Ansible for large-scale playbook management and infrastructure orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation scripting.
  • Experience with GIT for version control.
  • Working knowledge of Artifactory.
  • Experience with containerization technologies.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and mentorship.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing infrastructure for large user bases (100+ groups).
  • Background in bare metal provisioning and OS automation.
