Description

Own the architecture, development, and modernization of enterprise Java applications for the eLIMS-Forensics programme.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define software architecture and design patterns using object-oriented principles, SOLID, and Clean Code.
• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java 11/17, PostgreSQL, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Design backend services and data models for data-intensive systems using JPQL and CriteriaBuilder.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and manage containerized environments with Docker.
• Provide technical guidance to distributed teams and support legacy system modernization.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise Java development.
• Proficiency in Java, Java EE, Eclipse RCP, WildFly, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Strong background in PostgreSQL, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Hands-on experience with JVM tuning and performance profiling.
• Expertise in designing scalable, maintainable enterprise software architectures.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in regulated environments such as Forensics or LIMS platforms.
• Knowledge of SWT, JFace, Jakarta EE, and Eclipse Tycho.
• Experience with Maven and automated build processes.
