Description

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of a Golang banking and payments backend system from design through deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of backend systems ensuring speed, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Build backend systems from scratch using distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Mentor and guide junior developers within the engineering team.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to meet delivery goals.

Required Skills

• 5-6 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Golang experience.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs or gRPC.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Cline.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Banking domain knowledge including ISO8583, ISO20022, ACH/WIRE, FedNow, RTP, Card Payments, or Double-Entry Accounting.
• Cloud and DevOps experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Nomad.
