Lead mainframe application design, development, and delivery using PL/I, JCL, DB2, and CA Gen.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex mainframe application design and development using PL/I, JCL, DB2, and IBM mainframe utilities.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of CA Gen based applications from impact analysis through deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance on Microsoft GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding and improve readability.
• Drive continuous improvement of batch and online processing by tuning JCL, optimizing DB2 queries, and refining PL/I logic.
• Perform detailed code reviews and quality checks on PL/I, CA Gen, and JCL deliverables.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM Mainframe development.
• Strong proficiency in PL/I, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and COBOL.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe Utilities and CA Gen.
• Ability to coordinate with product owners and business analysts to translate functional needs.
• Experience defining standards for error handling, logging, and recovery.
• Proficiency in applying IBM mainframe utilities for data migration and file management.

Preferred Skills

• Asset management operations domain knowledge including reference data, trade capture, and client reporting.
• IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2 or ITIL Foundation certifications.
