Description

Lead the design and development of core Android platform security features while managing a technical team in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Android Platform features, including HAL and System Services for hardware security modules.
• Develop Secure Applets using cryptography, key management, secure elements, and secure OS foundations.
• Own project planning, requirements analysis, effort estimation, and risk management.
• Conduct design and code reviews and define development, review, delivery, and release processes.
• Perform people management and oversee the creation of module, integration, and automated test cases.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience, including Android Platform Development.
• Expertise in HAL, System Services, custom Android platform builds, and device development.
• Proficiency in Java, C, and C++.
• Strong understanding of security concepts including AES, RSA, EC, digital signatures, authentication, and key management.
• Knowledge of Mobile or Embedded OS programming patterns, IPC, and OS system frameworks.
• Deep understanding of software engineering, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and memory management.
• Familiarity with the Android Ecosystem, including OEMs, SoC vendors, TEE vendors, and SE vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• 4+ years of Java Card Applet software development or experience in constrained embedded environments.
• Experience with Java Card SDKs such as JCardSIM, Oracle, or NXP JCOP.
• Experience with AOSP, custom Android platforms, and Agile/Scrum processes.
