Description

You will lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement enterprise data solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Develop and optimize data architectures for both real-time and batch processing.
• Manage and deploy GCP infrastructure components to ensure cost-effective and scalable workflows.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions through collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and DevOps teams.
• Implement data governance, security, and privacy practices while monitoring pipeline performance to meet SLAs.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working specifically on GCP cloud platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data pipelines and automation.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming large datasets.
• Expertise in BigQuery, Cloud Functions, DBT, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or data visualization tools like Looker and Tableau.
• Knowledge of machine learning workflows and pipeline integration.
