Description

Lead a team in remediating legacy applications and resolving security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct team tasks and follow-ups to ensure project goals and development schedules are met.
• Drive key technical and architectural decisions regarding system infrastructure, configuration, scalability, and capacity.
• Provide proactive advice throughout the development lifecycle to prevent and correct quality problems.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to define remediation and test strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT industry experience with at least 4 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong Java/J2EE development background including design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with middleware such as WebLogic, Apache, and Spring Boot in UNIX environments.
• Proficiency with relational databases including Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD and build automation tools including Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of UNIX Shell scripting.
• Understanding of multi-tier architectures involving web servers, caching, application servers, and load balancers.
• Familiarity with application security including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, and SSH.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
