Description

Lead database operations and manage a team of DBAs to ensure high availability and performance across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day database operations and oversee a team of DBAs, including mentoring and skill development.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of production databases across multiple platforms.
• Oversee database monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, patching, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery testing.
• Drive automation initiatives using scripting and database management tools to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration and technical project management.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong background in performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS, Aurora, or Azure SQL.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of incident management, change management, and operational standards.
• Experience with automation, DevOps practices, and scripting for database tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing multi-cloud database environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong track record in establishing operational procedures and best practices.
