You will manage and prioritize the backlog for one or two Agile teams in Oakville, ON, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and sequence the team backlog, including user stories, defects, and enablers.
- Ensure at least two iterations of ready user stories are available in the backlog at all times.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Managers, and System Architects to write requirements with clear acceptance criteria and tests.
- Review and accept completed user stories, maintaining accountability for quality and production performance.
- Coordinate functional and technical dependencies with other Product Owners during iterations and Program Increments.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in product ownership or similar roles.
- Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience managing backlogs consisting of user stories, defects, and enablers.
- Ability to work closely with Product Managers and System Architects.
- Experience defining acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.
- Proven track record of managing dependencies across multiple teams or Program Increments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate education.
