Technical Product Owner

You will manage and prioritize the backlog for one or two Agile teams in Oakville, ON, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and sequence the team backlog, including user stories, defects, and enablers.
• Ensure at least two iterations of ready user stories are available in the backlog at all times.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Managers, and System Architects to write requirements with clear acceptance criteria and tests.
• Review and accept completed user stories, maintaining accountability for quality and production performance.
• Coordinate functional and technical dependencies with other Product Owners during iterations and Program Increments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership or similar roles.
• Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience managing backlogs consisting of user stories, defects, and enablers.
• Ability to work closely with Product Managers and System Architects.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.
• Proven track record of managing dependencies across multiple teams or Program Increments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate education.
