Description

You will manage the deployment, lifecycle, and scaling of containerized applications on GKE while leading engineering teams through technical execution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage GKE cluster configuration, including node pools, control plane upgrades, and network settings.
• Drive automation adoption to streamline operations and implement security practices like IAM, network policies, and secret management.
• Own Jira and Agile methodologies for the assigned engineering team, including daily standups and defect resolution.
• Lead engineers by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coordinating cross-functional communication.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical management or engineering leadership.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts and GKE features.
• Proficiency with GCP services and managing complex technical environments.
• Expertise in networking concepts: routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and service discovery.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong command of Agile methodologies and Jira.
• Experience with on-premises edge deployments in retail, manufacturing, or telecom sectors.
